Visa & Immigration
Do I Need a Visa to attend The DEN Summit?
Click HERE to determined if you will require a Visa
I am Visa-Exempt
An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a required entry document for visa-exempt foreign nationals traveling to Canada by air. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, Canadian citizens (including dual citizens), and Canadian permanent residents. It is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for up to five years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
Before traveling, check if you need an eTA by visiting the IRCC website. Applying for an eTA is a simple online process that usually takes minutes, but it’s recommended to apply well in advance of your trip.
I Require a Visa
Submission of Visa Applications
For information on applying for a business visitor visa under the temporary resident visa category, please refer to the IRCC website. Business visitors are individuals who travel to Canada for a few days or weeks to attend meetings or events, with a permitted stay of up to six months.
Processing times indicate how long IRCC has taken to process most complete applications in the past. This does not include the time required to transfer applications between a visa application centre and an IRCC office or the time needed for biometric submission. Your processing time begins when IRCC receives your complete application and ends when a decision is made. It may vary depending on the volume of applications received or the complexity of your case. Incomplete applications may be delayed or returned. Visa applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and it is the applicant’s responsibility to demonstrate eligibility for a temporary resident visa. To be approved, all eligibility requirements must be met. In addition to your application, you must submit supporting documents such as a valid passport, proof of financial support, and any additional documents specific to your visa type.
The DEN Summit is officially registered with the Special Events Unit of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
If you require a visa, we highly recommend that after registering for the event, you request a “Letter of Invitation” for the summit. This letter will include the IRCC Special Event Code, which can help facilitate both your visa application process and entry into Canada.
